The purpose of meditation is to calm down busy mind. It is not intentional to stop brain from thinking, but to direct its focus on the body itself for the harmony of body and mind.

One example of mediation is to imagine pure white light coming down from top of the head. The white light goes through forehead, face, neck, arm, hand, fingertips, coming back arm and continue on chest, abdomen, pelvis, thigh, knee, ankle, and foot. The key is to slow down so that mind can sink into each body part and feel the sensation of that body part. The breath will become slower and slower, deeper and deeper.
